Last year, Spire Motorsports acquired Justin Haley in what amounts to a drivers swap with Corey LaJoie from Rick Ware Racing.

On October 14 Spire announced that Haley would not be returning to Spire Motorsports and the number seven car next season.

Spire Motorsports co-owner Jeff Dickerson issued a team statement saying, “this is a decision that was not taken lightly.  Justin has been a member of the Spire family since he was a teenager. We’ve watched Justin grow from a young driver trying to make his mark in the sport to a proven winner. He helped strengthen our organization into what it is today. He made us winners and returned home after forging his own path in the Cup Series. Justin is the embodiment of a true racer who has quietly become a respected competitor within the NASCAR garage and will be an incredible asset to his next team.”

Currently Haley is 31st in the Cup Series point standings with just one top five and two to 10’s this season.

The normal NASCAR Silly Season has been very light this season with very few drivers making moves.

Connor Zilisch is moving up from the Xfinity Series to take over the driving duties in the number 99 car after Trackhouse Racing parted way with Daniel Suarez.

And there have been a couple of crew chief changes but overall the 2025 Silly Season has been very light.

JR Motorsports has not announced a replacement for Zilisch in the 88 car; nor has Suarez announced his plans for next season.
