Currently playing a record setting run in Chicago, the musical “44 – The Musical” will be heading to New York City and Off-Broadway next month for a limited run.
“The Voice” alum T.J. Wilkins will play President Barack Obama with Shanice as First Lady Michelle Obama.
Former Obama campaign staffer Eli Bauman penned the musical and as the saying goes, “the gang’s all here” with actors playing Joe Biden, Sarah Palin, Mitch O’Connell, Hilary Clinton, Herman Cain, Lindsey Graham, and Ted Cruz.
The band House of Vibe will provide the music for the show as The Andrew Jackson Five.
The musical satire begins October 14 at The Daryl Roth Theatre and is scheduled for a limited eight week run with the official opening on November 6. The show is set to close December 7.
