There were just 27 shows running on Broadway last week but the play “Art” starring Bobby Cannavale, Neil Patrick Harris, and James Corden is still in previews and had its first full week of performances last week. The play appears in both the Million Dollar Club and the 90% Club.
Just eleven shows made it into each club last week as shows continue to wind down the summer season.
“Cabaret” has announced an early that originally planned closure for later this month instead of October.
In its final week, the play “John Proctor is the Villain” has a near record week to make its way into the Million Dollar and 90% Clubs including an audience capacity of over 100%.
The musical “Purpose” also closed last week.
With only 27 shows for fans to choose from, the box office numbers were down, bringing in just $25 million.
Even with the lower numbers, “Hamilton” and “Wicked” brought in over $25 million.
Broadway Week began on Monday where fans can get a buy one, get one free deal on tickets to many of the shows currently running on Broadway.

Just five of the eleven shows in the 90% Club last week had an audience capacity of at least 100%. The numbers even fell below 103% for “Just in Time”.
