Last season George Clooney, Denzel Washington, and Jake Gylaanhal took the Great White Way by storm when they starred in plays on Broadway.
Next season a number of Hollywood stars will take the stages of Broadway and show that they really can “do it in one take”.
Playing now in a limited engagement, Late night TV host James Corden makes his Broadway debut when he joins Neil Patrick Harris and Bobby Cannavale in the play “Art” where three friends who have a row over a painting. The play runs through December 21.
Keanu Reeves makes his Broadway debut when he joins “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure” co-star Alex Winter in the Samuel Beckett play “Waiting for Godot”. The play opens to previews on September 13 with an official opening on September 28.
Emmy and Tony Award winning performer Kristen Chenoweth makes a return to Broadway in the musical based on the life of socialite Jackie Siegel “The Queen of Versailles”. The show opens to previews on October 8 with an official opening on November 10.
“Glee” alum Lea Michele returns to Broadway for the revival of the musical “Chess” – a show known for its musical score. She will join Aaron Tveit and Nicholas Christopher who play chess master battling for the title of master…and a woman. The show opens to previews on October 15 with the official opening on November 16.
Carrie Coon makes her Broadway return in a play written by her husband Tracy Letts – “Bug” – the story of a waitress who is involved with a younger man who is going insane. Previews begin on December 17 with an official opening on January 8.
