That question conjures up all kinds of images and thoughts…
George Carlin used to have a routine about how people don’t really care when they ask how you are; it’s just a line to say. Carlin used to come up with all kinds of words and phrases just to see if anyone was paying attention…like, I’m not unwell.
At the beginning of “Star Trek 4: The Voyage Home” Spock is taking a test after his katra was returned to his body. One of the questions was “How do you feel?” The unemotional Spock stood confused and did not know how to answer. His mother (a human) asked him what was wrong and goes on to give an explanation about the question. At the end of the film his father is returning to Vulcan and asks Spock if he has a message for his mother. Spock replies, tell her I feel fine.
Me???
To coin a phrase from my mother…I feel like my get up and go, got up and went. Hopefully that will change now that the weather is finally cooling down…at least here in the north country. Me and the heat don’t get along. It has a tendency to reek some havoc with my system…and then we have had a number of days with “bad air”…which REALLY doesn’t go well with asthma! UGGGHHHH!!!
My annual boat ride is coming up in a few days and that ALWAYS makes things a LOT better!!!
(hopefully, I’ll have some photos to share 🙂 )
I wonder if the CDC could create a “get up and go” drug…legal of course; none of that stuff from the street pharmacy. 🙁
