For over 40 years, Native Americans from across North America have gathered in New Mexico for the “Gathering of Nations”.  Next year will be the final gathering.

The Gathering of Nations has issued a statement saying, “there comes a time.”

The Last Dance will take place April 24 and 25 next spring at the Expo New Mexico/Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Billed the largest powwow in North America thousands of dancers, singers, and artists from hundreds of Nations gather to share and entertain.

Scattered around the Expo grounds are the “Teepee Village”, Native American Horse/Regalia and Rider Parade, the Indian Trader’s Market, a Native food court, the Miss Indian World competition, a car show, with competitive and social dancing.

The 2026 Powwow will take place in conjunction with the Route 66 centennial celebration.

The annual Gathering of Nations Powwow attracts some 100,000 visitors with millions more tuning in online.

The Gathering of Nations brings in millions of dollars to the area each year.
