The regular season ended for the Craftsman Truck Series on Friday night (Aug 14) with the eero 250 at Richmond Raceway.

Not surprising, Corey Heim sat on the pole and although he got some competition from Ty Majeski, won the race handily for his seventh race win of the season.  Heim had already been named the champion of the regular season a few races ago.  Corey Heim enters the playoffs with 65 playoff points after earning an extra 15 points for winning the championship.

With Stewart Friesen deciding not to request a medical waiver to keep his 52 truck in the playoffs after a Michigan win to keep the truck in the owner’s championship; another spot opened up in the hunt for the playoffs.

Along with Hiem, Layne Riggs, Chandler Smith,  Daniel Hemric, Tyler Ankrum, and Rajah Caruth have all secured playoff spots with race wins.

During the race driving the 52 truck for the injured Freisen, Kaden Honeycutt secured a spot in the playoffs on points.

Grant Enfinger, Ty Majeski, and securing the final spot opened up by Stewart Friesen’s departure Jake Garcia fill out the list of 10 playoff drivers.

Off next week for the race at Daytona; the Truck Series will begin their playoffs at Darlington Raceway on Labor Day weekend.
