MTV has released the list of nominees for the 2025 Video Music Awards and Lady Gaga leads the list with 12. Bruno Mars, Kendrick Lamar, Sabrina Carpenter, Rose’, Ariana Grande, The Weekend, Billie Eilish, and Charlie xcx also garnered multiple award nominations.
Bad Bunny, Morgan Wallen, Doechii, Ed Sheeran, Jelly Roll, Miley Cyrus, Tate McRae, Beyonce, and Taylor Swift are also on the nominees list. Currently Beyonce and Swift are tied for the most MVA’s with 30 and they are both up for the Artist of the Year Award.
Alex Warren, Blake Shelton, Brent Faiyaz, Gigi Perez, KATSEYE, Lainey Wilson, and Mac Miller as the first artist To receive a posthumous nomination are among the 33 first time nominees this year.
This year’s VMA’s will be presented live on CBS September 7. MTV and Paramount+ will also carry the festivities.
The MTV’s have two new awards this year with the Best Country and Best Pop Artist.
A fan voted award, voting is open for all 19 categories from now ‘til September 5 at 6pm EDT with the exception of the Best New Artist which will close during the show.
