It is not uncommon for artists to cancel dates due to illness or injury and even a death in the family.  And the onset of the Covid pandemic brought a major onslaught of cancellations; but hard rockers Pantera have announced the cancellation and postponement of a few dates for a very unique reason…the death of Metal icon Ozzy Osbourne!

The July 28 show in Saratoga Springs, New York has been moved to September 9.  The July 31st show in Holmdel, New Jersey has been moved to September 8.

The shows in Gilford, New Hampshire and Virginia Beach, Virginia have been cancelled.

Speaking on their decision Pantera said, “Ozzy wasn’t just a legend who shaped the very foundation of heavy metal and inspired Pantera from the beginning – he was family. A mentor, a brother, and a constant presence in our lives both on and off the stage. The bond we shared with him ran far deeper than music.”

They continued, “in light of this profound loss, we need time and space to grieve – to be with our families, our crew, and each other as we process and honor the life of someone who meant so much to us.”

“We appreciate your understanding during this difficult time.”
