It wasn’t the birthday present he was hoping for…

After battling his way through the field to finish third in the TSport 200 at Indianapolis Raceway Park to finish in third place, Stewart Friesen was disqualified after post-race inspection Friday night.

Corey Heim is now credited as finishing in third place.

Officials ruled that Friesen failed the ride height requirement – measuring too low in the front – and disqualified Friesen’s third place standing.  He is placed in last place – 35th – and earns only two points for the race.

The team has announced that they will be appealing the ruling.

Friesen is one of the seven drivers who is qualified for the playoffs after his win at Michigan.
