On July 15 the Television Academy of Arts and Sciences released the nominees for the 77th annual Prime Time Emmy Awards.  The Apple TV+ series “Severance” topped the list of nominees with 27.  The comedy “The Studio” came in with 23 nominations.

“Hacks”, “The Bear”, “The Penguin”, “Adolescence”, “The White Lotus”, “The Pitt”, “The Last of Us”, “Andor”, “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story”, and “Black Mirror” all earned multiple nominations.

HBO Max topped the list of nominations with 142; followed by Netflix with 120.

This year CBS will broadcast the 77th annual Emmy Awards on September 14 with Nate Bargatze hosting the event.

The Creative Arts segment of the Emmy Awards will be on September 6 & 7.
