This past weekend, NASCAR went racing on the streets of Chicago and for the first time in three years, Mother Nature co-operated and held off the nasty weather; giving the drivers the opportunity to run on a dry course.

Shane van Gisbergen had a busy and profitable weekend when he sat on the pole for bot the Cup and Xfinity Series races…and then took the checkered flag.  Only one other time in NASCAR history has a driver swept a weekend in poles and races – Kyle Busch.  Van Gisbergen jumped five spots in the point standings with his second win of the season.

William Byron holds on to the point standings despite having clutch issues that brought his day to an early end.
