The 2024/25 theatre season has officially ended and the annual Tony Awards have been presented.

Unfortunately, it also means many shows close down – Tony Award winning productions have a tendency to stick around a while longer.

Of the 40 shows that were running as the season ended, 36 of them are still running…but not for long.

The latest show to announce a closing date is the carton character come to life – “BOOP”.

While it earned two Tony Award nominations, “BOOP” failed to earn any wins and has announced a closing date of July 13.  When the show closes it will have run 25 previews and 112 performances.  Thos show opened to previews on April 5.

“Good Night, and Good Luck” and “Othello” closed after scheduled limited runs.  “SMASH”, Real Women Have Curves”, and “Dead Outlaw” have all announced closing dates in the coming weeks.
