Former New York Jet and current Dallas Cowboy Solomon Thomas will fulfill a dream on June 13 when he will make his Broadway debut in a one night only appearance.

A big fan of Broadway and the musical “MJ’ – Thomas has seen the three time Tony Award winning show six times – he will appear in the show; but Thomas did not reveal what role he will be portraying.  He has even brought some of his Jets teammates along for the show.

Speaking on the opportunity, Thomas said, “I cannot think of a better way to celebrate my time in New York than by making my Broadway debut! I am so grateful to MJ for making this dream come true and for the support over the past few years. It’s truly an honor to be able to witness the greatness of these performers. I hope to see everyone at the Neil Simon Theatre on June 13!”

Previously Thomas served as a theatre correspondent for CBS and was a presenter at the Tony Awards last year.

“MJ The Musical” debuted back in 2021 and continues to run at the Neil Simon Theatre.

“MJ” producer Lia Vollack spoke on Thomas saying, “Solly has been such a great supporter and friend of Broadway and our show.  We couldn’t think of a better way to thank him for his time in New York—giving him his Broadway debut!”

The three time Walter Peyton Man of the Year nominee is entering his ninth year in the NFL.  When not on Broadway or the football field, Thomas is the co-founder and Board Chair for the nonprofit organization Defensive Line – the organization is dedicated to ending youth suicide; especially youth of colour.
