No overtime, no “Big One”, but a close near photo finish on the high banks of Talladega Superspeedway this past weekend.

Austin Cindric eked out the win for Team Penske’s first win of the season; but it wasn’t all good news for Penske with his other two drivers finishing back in the field.  Cindric jumped eight spots in the standings.

After the race, Ryan Preece and Joey Logano learned that they had been disqualified from the race for spoiler violations.

William Byron holds on to the points lead with 389 points.  Kyle Larson takes over the second spot but Joey Logano – who has yet to have a top 10 finish this season – dropped two spots in the standings; Ryan Preece dropped four spots after his disqualification.
