This year the Kyle Petty Charity Ride moves east for their 29th annual caravan of motorcycles to raise money for the Victory Junction Camp – a place where children can forget their various illnesses and disabilities and just have some “serious fun!”

Set to run May 3 through 9, this year’s ride begins in Traverse City, Michigan and travels 1,400 miles to end in Hot Springs, Virginia. Petty is expected to lead some 125 motorcyclists on the ride.
This year’s ride will make stops in Detroit, MI; Cleveland, OH; Niagara Falls, NY; Corning, NY; Bedford, PA; and Hot Springs, VA.
Some of the stars joining Petty on the ride this year are father and Hall of Fame driver Richard Petty, Hershel McGriff, Max Papis, Ken Schrader, Kenny Wallace, Herschel Walker, Rick Allen, Rutledge Wood, Bill Davidson (great-grandson of Harley-Davidson founder William A. Davidson).
Started in 1995, created Kyle Petty combined his desire to help others with his love of motorcycle riding. Since that first ride over 9,350 motorcycle enthusiasts have joined Petty for more than 13.1 million miles of rides. In the process the Charity Ride has raised over $22 million for the Victory Junction Camp and other children’s charities.
Fans are encouraged to come out to meet the riders at each stop and any contributions are always welcome.

The Victory Junction Camp was created in 2004 in honour of Petty’s son Adam who was just 19 years old when he was killed in a crash at New Hampshire Speedway during practice.
It costs some $2,500 for a child to spend a week at the Victory Junction Camp; but thanks to Petty’s Charity Rides and other fund raising efforts, children attend the camp for free.
Petty spoke on the ride saying, “we had so much fun visiting legendary American landmarks in 2024, that we decided to incorporate a few more on this year’s Ride. We spent so many of our early years on the Ride riding past these places, but now it’s time for us to stop and enjoy them. We’re excited to deliver a special route full of incredible experiences and scenery, like visiting Niagara Falls and riding beautiful northeastern roads. And the best part of all? Knowing that each mile we travel helps put smiles on the faces of the kids at Victory Junction.”
