Taking a baseball glove to the game in hopes of catching a foul ball is a time honoured tradition practiced by fans for generations.

But fans have used  numerous other objects to catch balls.  Fans have caught a ball with one hand while holding a baby with the other, used their beer cups to snag a ball, hats, and even the little plastic caps used as ice cream dishes.

But one fan at the game between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park made us of a very interesting item to sang a souvenir four ball…his funnel cake!

The fan “nonchalantly” raised the plate containing the fried dough in one hand and the ball in the other as fans around him cheered and applauded.

It’s just two weeks into the 2025 MLB season…can a fan top the fried dough catch to earn top honours for a foul ball catch???
