How have you adapted to the changes brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic?

In some ways, the aftermath of the Covid pandemic has made things a bit easier for me.

During the pandemic, I began having my groceries delivered to my door. Even after the dangers had passed, I have continued to take advantage of the delivery service.

It was always a challenge to bring groceries home on the bus. The drivers aren’t allowed to help and it can be very difficult to haul a grocery cart up the steps of a bus; especially when it is heavy.

Having my groceries delivered alleviates all of those issues. Someone else deals with carrying all the heavy stuff and I can take it in smaller pieces to put away.

And since the bus company has eliminated routes and severely altered others; the bus system is next to useless.

But there is a downturn as well…Before the pandemic I spent at least one night a week, sometimes more, at a music concert. As an independent journalist, I relied on those live shows to provide me with original content and photos. Since the end of all the protocols and the return of musical performances, I have attended only a handful of shows.

While I miss going to the concerts, I have definitely spent less money. 🙂

I spent a great deal of time by myself when I was a kid, so the isolation brought on by Covid did not bother me. Since I do not like just sitting around, I have plenty to keep me busy…and that works fine for me.
