Australian rockers The Saints ’73-’78 made a successful debut tour last year and have planned dates in New Zealand, North America, and Europe this year.  The U.S. shows will mark the first time the band will perform in America.

The band has released a four vinyl album box set of the 1977 album “(I’m) Stranded” that includes the original album, a previous unreleased mix of the album, and live performances.

The original band The Saints ran from 1973 to 78 before splitting up.  Guitarist Ed Kuepper formed the Laughing Clowns and went on to earn numerous ARIA Awards and a Hall of Fame induction.

Singer Chris Bailey continued to perform under the name The Saints for the next 40 years.

Drummer Ivor Hay continued to perform.

In 2001, Kuepper, Bailey, and Hay performed at The Saints Hall of Fame induction ceremony.  In 2007 they reformed the group as The Saints ’73-’78.
