The Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona officially kicked off the motorsports season in the United States over the weekend; but the official beginning of the 2025 NASCAR season is still three weeks away. But on February 1, NASCAR will run the first race of the season at Bowman Gray Stadium wit the Cook Out Clash.
The racing begins on February 1 with the NASCAR Weekly Series and the Madhouse Classic at 1:45.
The NASCAR Cup Series gets started at 6:10pm with practice and qualifying to set the order for the four heat races. The top four drivers after qualifying will sit on the pole for each of the heat races.
Fans can watch the festivities on the FOX Sports channel FS1.
The heat races begin at 8:30pm and will set 20 of the 23 Clash starting spots.
Drivers who did not qualify for The Clash in the heat races will get one more chance with the Las Chance Qualifier which begins at 6pm on February 2. The top two finishers will move on to The Clash. The final starting spot in The Clash goes to the 2024 playoff driver with the highest points not already in The Clash.
The Cook Out Chash gets started at 8pm. The 200 lap race will result in the first race winner of the 2025 season.
