The problem is that some of the things I do for work are also the things I enjoy when I’m not working!
As a journalist and photographer, I do a lot of writing, reading, and picture taking.
While I never leave home without my Kindle, I seldom leave home without my camera…or at last my phone. I never know when I will see something interesting or photo worthy…and that doesn’t include me. I’m not into the selfie thing.
The reason I never leave home without my Kindle is because I love to read and will take advantage of the opportunity any chance I get. Waiting, whether it be in a friend’s car, for a Dr. appointment, or whatever, is always a perfect chance to get a little reading in. It’s the last thing I do before going to sleep.
There is always music playing somewhere in my apartment and when I have some time…and occasionally when I make the time…I pick up my guitar and play a bit.
It has been a while since I have had the chance to do some painting and such, but hopefully now that I have a new place, when it warms back up, I can spend some time outside painting. And maybe some sewing when I get everything organized.
I never could understand how someone can be bored. I usually have far more that I want to do then I have time to get done; there is no time to get bored. It seems that there is always something to do. I can’t even watch TV without having something to do with my hands – usually working or crocheting. I make hats that get donated mostly to school kids; which means I always have something to occupy me.
