On January 21, the Screen Actors Guild announced the nominees for the 31st annual SAG Awards. Due to the continuing issue with the wildfires caused the cancellation of a live announcement of the award nominees.
The hugely successful film adaptation of the Broadway musical “Wicked” topped the list with five nominations. “A Complete Unknown” cam in second with four.
On the television side, “Shogun” led the way with five nominations.
Nicole Kidman, Angelina Jolie, Denzel Washington, and Guy Pearce were all left off of the list of nominees.
The SAG Awards are scheduled for February 23 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles with Kresten Bell hosting the gala event. Jane Fonda is being presented with the SAG Lifetime Achievement Award.
