Earlier this week the British Film Academy released the nominees for the annual BAFTA Awards. The hunt for a new Pop led the way with the film “Conclave” earning 12 nominations.
Before actors Will Sharpe and Mia McKenna-Bruce announced the 2025 nominees, they turned their attention to their colleagues across the pond in California saying, “before we begin, on behalf of everyone at BAFTA, our thoughts are with colleagues, friends and peers and all those affected by the devastating wildfires in the Los Angeles area.”
Taking place before the Oscars in March, the BAFTA Awards are set to take place on February 16 in London at the Royal Festival Hall with David Tennant hosting the gala event.
“Emilia Perez”, “The Brutalist”, “Anora”, “Dune: Part Two, “ Wicked”, “A Complete Unknown”, “Kneecap”, “Nosferatu”, and “The Substance” all received multiple award nominations.
