The Pro Football Hall of Fame has revealed the 15 finalists from the modern era that are eligible for induction into The Hall next summer.
Players must receive at least 80% of the vote from the 167 member committee in order to be elected to The Hall. The selection committee will select up to five players.
Five of the players have made it to the list of finalists in their first year of eligibility. Nine of the finalists are returning from last year. One finalist has the opportunity to join his brother as a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
The newest class of Hall of Famers will be announced during the NFL Honors on February 6 as a part of the Super Bowl LIX week festivities.
Listed in alphabetical order, the 15 finalists for the 2025 class of the Pro Football Hall of Fame are:
Cornerback Eric Allen who played for the Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans Saints, and the Oakland Raiders
Defensive end Jared Allen who played for the Kansas city Chiefs, Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, and Carolina Panthers
Tackle Willie Anderson who played for the Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens
Guard Jahri Evans who played for the New Orleans Saints and Green Bay Packers
Tight end Antonio Gates who spent his entire career as a Charger in San Diego and Los Angeles
Wide receiver Torry Holt who played for the St Louis Rams and the Jacksonville Jaguars
Linebacker Luke Kuechly who spent his entire career as a member of the Carolina Panthers.
Quarterback Eli Manning who spent his entire career as a New York Giant
Wide receiver Steve Smith Sr who played for the Carolina Panthers and Baltimore Ravens
Outside linebacker and defensive end Terrell Suggs who played for the Baltimore Ravens, Arizona Cardinals, and the Kansas City Chiefs
Running back Fred Taylor who spent his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars and New England Patriots
Kicker Adam Vinatieri who played for the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts
Wide receiver Reggie Wayne who spent his entire career with the Indianapolis Colts
Safety Darren Woodson who spent his entire career as a Dallas Cowboy
Guard and tackle Marshal Yanda who spent his career as a Baltimore Raven
The modern era finalists will join senior finalists Maxie Baughan, Sterling Sharpe, Jim Tyrer, Coach Mike Holmgren and contributor finalist Ralph Hay as possible members of the Hall of Fame. Up to three names from the senior, coach, and contributor categories may be selected.
The newest members to the Pro Football Hall of Fame will be officially enshrined as a part of the kickoff to the 2025 season at the Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio next August.
