At the end of the 2024 racing season, Xfinity Series driver Chandler Smith parted ways with Joe Gibbs Racing and the number 81 car.

At the time Smith had no prospects for a new team; that issue has now been resolved with a full time ride.

Front Row Motorsports is expanding their Craftsman Truck Series team to two trucks.  Chandler Smith will be the driver for one of those trucks.

Smith will join Layne Riggs in the Craftsman Truck Series.

Last season driving for JGR, Smith had 17 top fives including two wins.  In his previous stint as a driver in the Truck Series, Smith had 24 top fives with five wins.

Speaking on earning a spot at FRM, Smith said, “I’m excited to join Front Row Motorsports truck program.  They are a top contender in the Truck Series and have proven so with championships and wins. I like what they are building here and am honored to have the opportunity to add to it. We are getting a bit of a late start, but I am excited about the caliber of talent we are talking to in being a part of this program for 2025.”

The truck number and crew will be named at a later date.  The Craftsman Truck Series will begin its season at Daytona International Speedway in February.
