The NASCAR silly season continues in the off season with the announcement that Parker Retzlaff is moving from Jordan Anderson Racing over to Alpha Prime in the Xfinity Series for the 2025 season. He will be driving the number four car full time.
It was a rough year for Retzlaff in 2024 with 12 DNF’s (did not finish); however, he also earned two poles and had three top five finishes.
Speaking via a press release, Retzlaff said, “we all want to win races, be consistent, and prove we’re here to compete. Everyone here has told me how much they believe in me and what I can do.”
Alpha Prime Racing owner Caesar Bacarella spoke on Retzlaff saying, “I’m just super excited to have him join us. He’s a young, really talented race car driver, and he’s going to help elevate the team.”
He added, “I’m humbled, honestly. Obviously, I wouldn’t be here without the support of my partners — who I’m really excited to announce later. Tommy and Caesar have put together an awesome team. It’s a big confidence booster for me to go into 2025 with a group that really wants me here.”
Retzlaff got to show off his personality during a race rain delay a couple of years ago when he commandeered a microphone and proceeded to “interview” fellow drivers. Not only did Retzlaff keep everyone laughing; he showed an affinity for broadcasting.
Bacarella spoke on the future of Alpha Prime saying, “there’s been a lot of ups and downs, but he [APR president Tommy Joe Martins] and I agree it’s all about the people. It’s so hard. We’re racing against the best teams in the world. But we’ve got great people, and that’s what’s made it work. And now we’ve got two ace drivers in the stable full-time.”
Parker Retzlaff will be joining Brennan Poole at Alpha Prime Racing.
