Funny how this prompt came up today…
I am currently in the process of moving after being in the same place for 20 years!
But while the place is nice…and most importantly convenient; it isn’t exactly what I would classify as what I really want.
By now everyone…well, a lot of people…knows that I have a major passion for and knowledge of music and that my ancestors were Nordic and runs deep in my blood.
My dream home is actually a boat…a big boat. Once big enough to live on comfortably and will let me travel around on the seas if I want.
I have a friend who owns a ski boat and each summer we go out on the river…and he lets me drive. Being on the water has a big calming affect on me. It allows me to “chill out”, settle my nerves, and think creatively.
To me, it isn’t about the actual location itself but the peaceful feelings it brings when I am on the water.
Each time I get to go out on the boat, we are on the river for two or three hours, and I am always grateful for the time; but it never seems to be enough. If I could live anywhere I wanted, it would be to be in the place that gives me the tranquility that helps me to create.
