Describe a family member.

I am a Daddy’s girl. I am Daddy’s only girl. And if you see the two of us, there is no doubt as to whom I belong.

My Dad is not one for social media or having his picture plastered all over the internet, so I chose a piano – the one thing that describes him best.

My Dad is the one reason music is such a bit part of my life. He began playing when he was eight years old and until I moved out of my parent’s house, I got to hear my Dad play every day.

He taught lessons for years and played the piano and organ in numerous churches wherever he lived.

I cannot hear “Claire de Lune” by Claude Debussy without immediately thinking of my Dad. He first began learning the piece in 1952. I heard him play it my entire life.

Until I met Carl Sagan, my Dad was the smartest man I knew. Have a question…go ask Dad. He seemed to know everything,

My brother’s children would call Dad before looking something up in the dictionary!

I can talk to my Dad about anything…and everything. Even now, he’s dealing with Alzheimer’s but we still talk and if I want to know something, he can usually tell me.

A man of average height, my Dad is a pretty big guy in my eyes; not as a hero worship, but as someone I can look up to and depend on…even now.
