Three new shows opened this past week for a total 35 shows on Broadway and while Monday was an official holiday – Indigenous People’s Day / Columbus Day (depending on where you are from) – it had no negative effect on the schedule since Broadway goes dark on Mondays.

“A Wonderful World”, “Maybe Happy Ending”, and “Tammy Faye” all began previews last week and are sure to join the ranks of the Million Dollar Club soon.

New musical “Romeo and Juliet” is still in previews with heavily comped tickets and the show still joined the Million Dollar Club after playing to standing room only audiences!

“The Outsiders”, “McNeal”, “Oh, Mary!”, “Stereophonic”, and “Wicked” also played to sell out audiences.

Nearly half of the shows – 16 of 35 – made it into the Million Dollar Club this week with “Wicked” and “The Lion King” both topped $2 million.
