Harrison Burton will be racing with cousin Jeb next season when he returns to the Xfinity Series for AM Racing in the number 15 car.
After three season as a Cup Series driver, Burton finally won a race in the number 21 Wood Brothers car – earning Wood Brothers their 100th career win. When Burton won the race, he had already learned that he would not be returning to the team next season.
Burton spoke on driving for AM Racing via a team release saying, “I’m excited to join AM Racing and help build it into the race-winning race team I believe it can and will be. I think this will be a great opportunity for me to take the things I’ve learned in the Cup Series, bring those to the Xfinity Series and be the best driver I can be.”
When the 2024 season began, AM Racing had Hailie Deegan behind the wheel of the number 15 car but she and AMR parted ways back in July. Since then, AMR has tapped a variety of drivers to fill the seat.
