It has been a roller coaster couple of years for 23XI driver Bubba Wallace. He has won two races, nearly made the playoffs, gotten married, and is about to be a father.
On September 18, 23XI Racing has signed Wallace to a multiyear extension on his contract and will continue to drive the number 23 car.
Four of Wallace’s seven years in the Cup Series have been as a driver for the Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin owned team.
The 30 year old Alabama native was the first driver Jordan and Hamlin signed to 23XI when they launched the team four years ago. 23XL later signed Tyler Reddick to form a two car team. Wallace earned 23XI its first win in 2021 at Talladega Motor Speedway.
Wallace was on the bubble to make the playoffs but after Chase Briscoe won the race at Darlington to earn a spot in the playoffs, Wallace found himself on the outside looking in. He is currently in 19th place in the point standings.
