Just a few more days remain until the end of another Paralympic Games. The events have been well attended and the crowds vociferous when appropriate.
The People’s Republic of China jumped out to lead the medal count from the very beginning and have showed no signs of slowing down. The Chinese have earned 83 gold medals – twice as many as second place Great Britain – and have a total of 188 medals.
Great Britain has hit the century mark in total medal count.
There are now 83 countries whose athletes have earned a medal during the Games over the past week.
