In the final week of summer on Broadway that included Labor Day Weekend, Broadway saw a double digit jump in the box office.  Just opening in the first week of previews, “The Roommate” saw standing room only audiences and “The Outsiders” broke the house record for gross receipts for the eighth time after selling out for the entire week!  “Wicked” was the only show to top the $2 million mark this week with just 12 of the 25 shows currently running a part of the Million Dollar Club this past week.

The 90 percent club faired batter last week with 19 of the 25 show currently running making the list.  The top six shows all had at least 100 percent capacity with “The Outsiders” and “The Roommate” topping the 100 percent mark.
