It’s day three of the 2024 summer Olympic games in Paris, France.  The surfers are taking on Mother Nature and Poseidon as they have reached round three of heat competition with one surfer being eliminated after each heat.

The list of medal winning countries has grown to 36 with five countries reaching double digits.  The United States is stuck on three gold medals but leads the field with 20 total medals.  Japan leads the way in gold medals with six; followed by France, the People’s Republic of China, Australia, and the Republic of Korea all with five gold medals each.
