Since the introduction of the playoffs in NASCAR, the opinions have been wide and quite vociferous.
While NASCAR is taking a break for the Olympics, NASCAR is reviewing some of the most memorable moments in the playoffs that will include a fan vote for the most unforgettable.
NASCAR has chosen 16 of the most iconic moments with four rounds of voting that resemble the playoffs themselves. Round one will begin July 29 with all 16 moments. The top eight will move on to round two which is set to begin July 31; round three begins Aug 2 and will set the final four, topping it off with round four on Aug 5 to determine the winner.
Some of the most memorable moments up for the vote are the Hail Melon at Martinsville – never to be repeated, Chase Elliott’s smoke show, Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch, and Kevin Harvick’s championships, several moments at Martinsville, and plenty from Denny Hamlin.
