In the final race before the break for the Olympics, NASCAR travels to Indianapolis Motor Speedway and a return to the famous 2.5 mile oval.  This marks the 30th anniversary of NASCAR at the Brickyard.

It was another overtime finish for the Cup Series when it took two tries before Kyle Larson added to his list of winning tracks.  While a penalty thwarted his chance to win at the Indianapolis 500 after a fifth place start; Larson parlayed his fifth place Cup Series start into a win in the Brickyard.  In his post race interview, Larson spoke on his desire to run the Indy 500 next year and another attempt at “The Double”.

The point standings closer to the “cut line” have begun to tighten up, but his fourth win of the season has put Kyle Larson at the top of the point standings and the playoff standings.
