After a weekend filled with the sound of racing engines and music on the streets of Chicago, drivers got a lesson in how to race a good clean race and still have fun, the art of avoiding the tire barriers, and more practice running on wet weather tires.
In a rain and darkness shortened Chicago Street Race for the second year in a row, Alex Bowman became the second driver this season to break a long losing streak when he ended an 80 race winning drought on lap 58 of a planned 75 lap race. Bowman becomes the 12th different winner this season with just six races remaining in the regular season.
Despite an early exit from the race, Kyle Larson leads the point and playoff standings with Chase Elliott in second place in the point standings.
