It was a triple header weekend for NASCAR at Nashville Superspeedway over the weekend where one race saw a single driver lead every lap and one race set a record for overtime finishes.

On Sunday in the Cup Series race, they had it all…a rain delay, a red flag, multiple drivers running out of fuel, a dominant driver, the big one, and a record number of overtime finishes.  About the only thing missing from the race was a car upside down on the race track…and a few drivers were aggressive enough on the track that even that was not out of the realm of possibilities.

Fresh off of his weekend sweep at New Hampshire, Christopher Bell dominated the race, winning both stages, before crashing out of the race late.  But in the end, it took five overtime starts before Joey Logano joined his Team Penske teammates Austin Cindric and Ryan Blaney in victory lane and securing himself a spot in the playoffs.  During the overtime starts several drivers ran out of fuel trying to make it to the end of the race; Logano had just enough that he finished the race and ran out on the burnout.

Joey Logano becomes the eleventh different winner so far this season.

Kyle Larson now has the points lead with 664 points and in a four way tie with three race wins each, Larson also tops the list in the playoff standings.
