Saturday will be filled with the sound of music and motors when the Xfinity Series comes to Nashville Superspeedway for the Tennessee Lottery 250.

Thirty-nine teams brought cars to Nashville for 38 starting spots including Ty Gibbs, Tyler Reddick, Noah Gragson, John Hunter Nemechek, and Ross Chastain.  A total of eight drivers are doing double duty this weekend.

The drivers have been divided into two groups for the 15 minute practice session; but will be in a single group for one lap single car qualifying.

Ty Gibbs tops the board in single and multiple laps time from Group A.

Chandler Smith tops the board in Group B; running laps faster than Group A driver Ty Gibbs.

This is the first time that several of the drivers have been on the concrete of Nashville Superspeedway.

A rain cloud has settled over the speedway and dropping a few raindrops.

The first driver on the track to make a qualifying run is Noah Gragson who posted a time of 30.988 seconds around the 1.33 mile concrete track.

Jade Buford was scheduled to be the first driver out on the track but will not make a qualifying run.  A part time driver, after not making a qualifying run, Jade Buford will not make the race.

Jesse Love will not make a qualifying run after the crew discovered a hole in the radiator and will have to make repairs to the car.  He will start the race from the back of the field.

Of the 13 cars that have made a qualifying run, Noah Gragson is the only driver to post a time under 31 seconds…that is until Ty Gibbs got on the track and posted a time of 30.876 seconds.

Parker Kligerman reports that they are having some radio issues in the car.

With a time of 30.876 seconds, Ty Gibbs will sit on the pole and bring the field to green.  Regular season points leader Cole Custer will start alongside Gibbs on the front row.

When the green flag flies today, it will be start number 50 Brandon Jones with JR Motorsports.

Austin Hill will have to start the race from the back of the field after the crew had to make an alternator change.

Justin Allgaier said that he feels like he drove inside the pizza oven.

Stages one and two are 45 laps with stage three lasting 98 laps for a total of 188 laps around the 1.33 mile concrete track.

Ty Gibbs brings the field down for the green flag start of the race with Cole Custer alongside on a very hot Saturday afternoon.  Temps inside the cars are already over 100 degrees.  After going side by side for over a lap, Ty Gibbs edges out to take the lead; Cole Custer, AJ Allmendinger, Ryan Sieg, and Justin Allgaier round out the top five.

Lap nine, after starting the race from the back of the field due to a radiator issue, Jesse Love has moved up 13 spots.

Ty Gibbs has pulled out to a near one second lead on Cole Custer; AJ Allmendinger, Noah Gragson, and Ryan Sieg round out the top five.

Lap eleven, Ty Gibbs has increased his lead to a second and a half on Cole Custer; AJ Allmendinger, Noah Gragson, and Brandon Jones round out the top five.

Lap 20, running away from the field, Ty Gibbs has a lead of over two seconds on Cole Custer; AJ Allmendinger, Brandon Jones, and Noah Gragson round out the top five.

Lap 22, after starting at the back of the field, Austin Hill in in the top 20 in 18th.

Lap 25 Jesse Love is reporting a very loose condition in his car, despite the fact that he has advanced nearly 20 spots since the start of the race.

Lap 27, Ty Gibbs’ lead is now under two second as he begins to lap slower traffic.

Riley Herbst reports a radio issue and is having trouble hearing his spotter.

Lap 29, Cole Custer and AJ Allmendinger battle for second.  Ty Gibbs is once again over two seconds out in front.

There are 34 cars on the lead lap.

Lap 31, AJ Allmendinger passes Cole Custer for second.

Lap 32, Ty Gibbs is now over three seconds out in front.

Lap 37, ty Gibbs has a near three and a half second lead on AJ Allmendinger; Brandon Jones, Cole Custer, and Justin Allgaier round out the top five.

Lap 40, there are 31 cars on the lead lap.

Lap 41, AJ Allmendinger has closed the gap on leader Ty Gibbs to under three seconds.

Three laps remain in stage one; Ty Gibbs lead is now under two seconds on AJ Allmendinger.

Several drivers reported a tight condition in their cars.

Parker Kligerman and Sammy Smith were caught speeding on pit road and will have to restart the race from the back of the field.

Lap 52, the top five are Cole Custer, Ty Gibbs, John Hunter Nemechek, Brandon Jones, and AJ Allmendinger round out the top five.  Riley Herbst and AJ Allmendinger continue to battle for fifth; swapping back and forth.

Riley Herbst has a cool suit but it is not working properly and it is very hot.

Lap 105, Cole Custer has a half second lead on John Hunter Nemechek.

Riley Herbst has gotten his cool shirt issue resolved – drained – and he reports that he is ok.

Justin Allgaier reports a possible voltage issue.  He has dropped a few spots in the lineup.

With 74 laps to go, Cole Custer has a lead of over a second on AJ Allmendinger; John Hunter Nemechek, Ty Gibbs, and Chandler Smith round out the top five.

With 71 to go, AJ Allmendinger is running laps faster than leader Cole Custer; Custer is now less than one second out in front.

Last year was a caution fest with eleven yellow flags; this year with 67 laps remaining in the race, all 38 drivers are still on the track and there has only been two yellow flags for stage breaks.

The driver are now within their pit window to make it to the end of the race on one more pit stop.

With 61 laps to go, Cole Custer’s lead is now just over half a second on AJ Allmendinger; John Hunter Nemechek, Ty Gibbs, and Justin Allgaier round out the top five.

Chandler Smith has passes Justin Allgaier for fifth and is now looking to pass Ty Gibbs.

Justin Allgaier has gotten back around Chandler Smith for fifth.  Chandler Smith and Noah Gragson are in a battle for sixth.  All three drivers are trying to pass Ty Gibbs.

With 55 laps to go, Cole Custer’s lead is now just half a second on AJ Allmendinger.

Jesse Love reports a possible vibration.

Justin Allgaier sends Ty Gibbs spinning after Allgaier makes contact on lap 135.  Chandler Smith makes contact with Allgaier.

Drivers come down pit road for fuel and a final set of fresh tires.  Cole Custer wins the race off of pit road form pit stall number one with John Hunter Nemechek coming out second.  AJ Allmendinger has a slow stop and drops back to ninth.

Dealing with a voltage issue, Justin Allgaier’s crew makes a battery change during the pit stop.

Cole Custer brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 142 with John Hunter Nemechek alongside.  Custer gets out in front for the lead but Nemechek comes up on the inside to take the lead.  Drivers are getting four wide in a battle for position.

After contact with Ty Gibbs and voltage issues, Justin Allgaier is in the top 10 in eighth place.

Just seven laps to go, there are 25 cars on the lead lap; John Hunter Nenechek leads the race by over a second on Chandler Smith.

Just three laps to go, John Hunter Nemechek holds a lead of over a second on Chandler Smith.  The 20 car has had several different drivers this season; four of them have won a race for Joe Gibbs Racing this year.
