I guess you could say that I am passionate about a few things…music, scenic photography, and sunsets and the water.
Right after 9/11, the George Eastman House in Rochester, New York announced a public exhibit where they invited people to submit a photo of something that was “Important to You”. Nearly all of the hundreds of photos that were submitted were of family members and pets. Mine was one I spent over half an hour setting up earlier that year…on the summer solstice. I had walked to the end of the pier where the Genessee River flows into Lake Ontario to sit and wait for the sun to fall to just the right spot where it cast its light across the water. Just as I was about to take the photo a boater crossed the path of the sun that gave the photo a little something special.
I enlarged that photo and noted that what was important to me was the peace and tranquility that came with the scene in that photo.
I love music and am frequently surrounded by it, but there is also something just as special about being on the water itself or even on the shore as the sun casts its colours on its way to the other side of the world.

Awesome photos 👌
