It’s just a little over two weeks before the annual Tony Award ceremonies and the winners are announced; but some productions are already winning with boosts at the box office.  This week half of the 34 productions currently running were members of the Million Dollar Club.

“The Lion King” continues to rule the Pride with a box office draw of $2.2 million; but “Wicked” joined the clan with a $2 million draw of its own. “Hamilton”, “Cabaret”, and “Merrily We Roll Along” rounded out the top five.
