The Xfinity Series was off this week and the Cup Series drivers held their annual All Star Race that didn’t see a grate deal of action on the track, when Ricky Stenhouse Jr took exception to three wide driving that ultimately put him in the wall and out of the race.  Stenhouse…armed with Dad and crew members…went on the offense against Kyle Busch.  NASCAR has had nothing to say about the incident, but will speak volumes when the penalty report is released later this week.

However, there was plenty of action for the Truck Series, and bot all of it welcome.  Rain storms in the area cancelled some of the events scheduled at North Wilkesboro and threatened others. 

The Wright Brand 250 was postponed after stage one for lightening in the area, but the area and some torrential rains followed – five inches in 90 minutes!  Tires were floating down pit road and trucks were submerged under water.  Drivers and crew members took advantage of the two feet of water standing around the track to do a little swimming and a few belly flops.

But come Sunday morning, the rain had gone away, everything was dry, and the trucks were ready to race once again. 

Once he got out in front of the field, Corey Heim dominated the race and notchted his third race of the season.

Christian Eckes holds on to the points lead with two race wins and 425 points with Corey Heim in second.
