A member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Eddy earned a Grammy Award for the theme form the television series “Peter Gunn”; but he turned down the theme song for the James Bond franchise “song because there wasn’t enough guitar music in it.” He is also a member of the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum.
Recording dozens of albums, Eddy slowed down in the 80’s; “living off my royalties,” he said after spending some time working behind the scenes in music production.
Beatles George Harrison and Sir Paul McCartney were both fans of Eddy and later had Eddy record with them in 1987.
