Name it and there is probably a Hall of Fame or museum for it. And believe it or not that includes Bobbleheads!
The newest addition to the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum in Milwaukee is the Margaritaville Bobblehead – a parroted tribute to Jimmy Buffett. The bobblehead is a Hawaiian shirted parrot with a baseball cap on backwards and holding a guitar. “Margaritaville” is written across the front.
Dedicated Buffett fans were known as Parrotheads.
Sales of the Margaritaville Bobblehead goes to the Singing for Change Foundation. The bobblehead is available exclusively through the Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. A limited number of bobbleheads are currently available for pre-order with delivery in June for $30 and $8 flat-rate shipping.
Co-founder and CEO of the Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum Phil Sklar spoke on the Parrothead bobblehead saying, we’re excited to create this Margaritaville Bobblehead as a tribute to Jimmy Buffett’s hit song with a portion of proceeds supporting the incredible Singing for Change organization.”
Buffett marketed the fun loving song title into hotels and resorts, a cruise line, restaurants, a clothing line, home décor, and even a radio channel.
The Singing for Change Foundation honours Buffett and his spirit of giving by helping others. It supports organizations that “inspire personal growth, community integration and the enhanced awareness that collectively, people can bring about positive change.”
