In the last week of performances before the announcement of the Tony Award nominees, half of the 36 productions currently running are in the Million Dollar Club and nearly three fourths of them are in the 90 percent club.

“Cabaret” leads the way in ticket prices at over $230; but the show is also among the top five in the Million Dollar Club.  “The Lion King” continues to lead the way with grosses of over $2 million; “Wicked”, “Hamilton”, and “The Wiz” round out the top five for the week.

The final week of the season – and the last week a show could qualify for nomination in the 77th annual Tony Awards – seven new shows opened on Broadway including the two most nominated productions at the Tony Awards – “Hell’s Kitchen” and “Stereophonic”.

Of the top three nominees, only “Hell’s Kitchen” is in the Million Dollar Club this week.
