A job I would do for free…
I’m already doing it!
I started my website late in 2017 because I got tired of getting paid $2 per thousand page views. My theory was, if I am going to make peanuts, then they will by MY peanuts.
In the past six plus years, I have posted thousands of articles and photo pages and currently have 71,577 total page views. What that boils down to is a grand total of $35.94 earned! Once I reach $100, then I will get paid…but not before.
I get paid from the ads that appear on the pages, but the money earned depends on the number of page views.
There have been many times that I have been depressed enough over the situation to consider quitting the whole affair, but never followed through. Somehow, I just couldn’t bring myself to shut it all down. My Dad and I talked about it and he told that I couldn’t quite because it is who I am…so, I keep plugging away and hoping that things will get better and I can actually make a little money.
Through all the frustration, there has been some good times….like the dozens of concerts I got to see and cover and some of the people I have gotten to meet.
