Fifty years ago, when a music fan wanted some new music from their favourite artists, they went to the local music store and bought an LP – long playing vinyl album.
These days, vinyl is reserved for special and anniversary releases.
In 1974, Boston rockers Aerosmith released their triple platinum certified album “Get Your Wings”. On May 17, the band will release a 50th anniversary vinyl edition of the album.
The album is limited to 1974 numbered copies of gold sparkled vinyl encased in a gold foil embossed jacket.
Each album is uniquely numbered and also includes a 70’s era logo sticker and a replica of the album’s vintage ad.
Aerosmith is also releasing a line of “Get Your Wings” merchandise.
