What is your favorite type of weather?
I don’t do well in hot weather…
But on a warm day, I can usually be found on my front porch swing working on something.
I don’t mind the cold, but I don’t like the wind.
For me, an autumn day with some clouds and warm weather – maybe a lightweight jacket… A day that is pleasant and warm; but not hot.
The best part about autumn are all the colours. The trees are changing from green to a rainbow of colours as they prepare for a new season.
I live in snow country and the surroundings after a snowfall can be breathtakingly beautiful; especially, in a park or some other natural environment.
I made a visit to Niagara Falls State Park during a very cold winter; one so cold (I know, I know, joke time) that part of the river froze – a river that moves constantly due to the rapids – rapids rated six on a scale of 1-5. Normally, visitors can hear those rapids even before entering the park; but on that day…it was eerily quiet. I was nearly at the water’s edge before I could hear the rapids.
As I watched the water go over the Falls, there were big chunks of ice also going over the brink. Looking down into the water below, it was frozen solid. It was like…where does the water go????

While summer can be rough; living in an area with four seasons brings a beauty all its own.
