The record setting 2024 Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona was barely a month ago; but IMSA and Daytona International Speedway have already announced the dates for the 2025 edition of the race for January 25 and 26.

Like the Daytona 500 in NASCAR, the Rolex 24 kicks off the season of racing with one of the biggest races of the season with the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

Daytona International Speedway President Frank Kelleher spoke on the dates saying, “coming off the back of announcing the 2025 Daytona 500 date (February 16), we couldn’t think of a better opportunity to reveal the dates for the Rolex 24 At Daytona.  The Rolex is one of our biggest and most unforgettable events we host at the World Center of Racing, and we look forward to welcoming our fans from around the globe back in January of 2025.”

While the race itself begins on Saturday, the weekend’s events begin on Thursday January 23 and culminate with the checkered flag at the end of the 24 hour race.

February means shorter days and longer night; the drivers are under the lights for some 13 hours and offer some impressive displays with the cars lit up in bright neon colours.

The Roar Before the Rolex 24 takes place the week before the Rolex 24 offering fans a chance to see some practice and testing.

This year’s Rolex 24 set records for attendance; as well as, The Roar Before the 24.

The track at Daytona is a 2.5 mile high banked 33 degree oval with a road course in the infield of over three miles.  The Rolex 24 makes use of both the road course and a part of the oval.
