The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series got the season started off on Friday night with a crash filled record setting race.  A total of 12 caution flags – 10 form on track incidents – set a new record at Daytona for the Truck Series.

The wild night began early on lap seven with a 12 truck crash that took out three trucks.  It proved to be only the beginning when the end of the race saw some more action with Tanner Gray going airborne and the race ending in overtime under caution.

At the end of the broadcast, NASCAR still had not sorted out the official results; but one thing for certain was that Nick Sanchez earned his first career win in just his second year in the Truck Series.  The win gave Chevrolet its 100th win at Daytona.
